A Little History of Julie's

When I was about to graduate high school, I had saved all of my money to go to school to become a fashion merchandiser. Instead, I fell in love and moved from Redding, CA to Western New York and put my dreams on hold to start a family.

By the time all 4 of my kids were in school, it was my turn to give back to the community that helped us so much. In 1993, I put together plans for a consignment shop and bought an old milkbarn in Caneadea, NY. My husband renovated it and we opened Bears Repeating, which became the Red Barn Country Mall. After almost 20 years of being a staple in the community, I wanted to move in a new direction and focus on women's consignment.

In 2011, I started Julie's Consignment Cottage, which became what you know as Julie's. My goal for my shop is to give women in my community joy. I do that by bringing in beautiful new and consigned clothing, household items that fits their style, and accessories that make them shine - all on a budget.
